Prime
Minister Theresa May wants to talk about the Brexit to renegotiate with the EU. She
meets the senior minister to share her thoughts about the risk. At Thursday
night, May’s efforts to seek changes in Brexit deal was rejected by the MPs.
On Feb 15,
Andrea Leadsom told BBC radio that “yesterday was more of a hiccup that the disaster
that’s being reported”. She added one thing more, “the problem with the last
night’s vote is that it allows the EU to continue with this pretense that they
don’t know what we want and they do know what we want.”
The original
mandate MPs was insisted by the Downing Street to May on January 29, they want
to make Britain’s border with Ireland free-flowing after Brexit. But their failure
was seen in the parliament from Brexit in any agreement.
“It is unbelievable really that The British government and the British parliament have allowed it to come to this,”
Irish foreign minister Simon Coveney.
May’s
withdrawal deal was rejected by the MPs overwhelmingly on Jan 15. Where May
promised to amend the backstop as a draft, risks keeping Britain tied
indefinitely to EU trade rules. Whereas, Brussels said that the agreement
will not be a change which is agreed on last November after two years of tough
negotiations.
